If you or your partner have been married before then there are extra considerations before the Vicar can consent to you being married in church.  Please contact Carol directly to discuss this.

If you have any questions, want further information or would like to book a wedding, please come along to parish surgery which is held most Tuesday evenings at 7pm in church.  Our surgery clerks, Alison and Elaine, will be happy to give you some information and talk you though the process of what happens.  We will be delighted if you choose to get married in our church.

Weddings at St John's

If you are thinking about getting married in church, we would be very happy to hear from you.

A marriage service, wherever it is held, is a public declaration of love and commitment to your partner.  If you choose to get married in church, there is an added dimension - the assurance that God cares about your relationship and that His resources and strength are available to help you.  Including God in your marriage doesn’t mean that you will avoid all the usual ups and downs, but you will know that you can look to God for help and guidance and that his love will sustain you. You will also have the support and  encouragement of the Christian Church family.

In order to qualify to get married at St. John the Evangelist Farnworth, you must either live in the parish, attend church regularly or have a valid connection with the church.
