Our Lay Ministers

Elaine Walker

Authorised Lay Minister in Children’s Worship

Elaine WAlker

I was born, and have always lived, in Farnworth.

For the last 27 years I have worked for Greater Manchester Police as a member of their Police Staff.

I was commissioned as an Authorised Lay Minister in Children’s Worship in September 2014. I am also a Foundation Governor at St Peter’s Primary School in Farnworth, which I enjoy very much and visit the school as often as possible in order to meet and interact with the children.

As well as being an ALM, I also serve as a Sides Person and as a member of the PCC for St John’s Church and look forward to serving.

I enjoy most kinds of music, but especially Il Divo
